We are are very appreciative of all the support we receive from the community and would not be here without it.

That support has come in many different forms over the years. See below for options for Donating to Great Plains MakerSpace

Time & Talent

Great Plains Makerspace runs on volunteer efforts. All our classes are taught by volunteers, the space is maintained by volunteers, and we couldn’t operate without them.

In particular, we’re in need of people with talents and interests they want to share.

If you are interested in volunteering your time to teach a class or contribute to the upkeep of the space, please reach out to us.

Discounted memberships for Volunteers are available, as well as honorariums for those teaching classes.

Equipment Donations & Long Term Loans

Many of us find ourselves with tools and supplies laying around from past projects that we don’t expect to use again anytime soon. If you find yourself in this position, we may have a place for those items at the makerspace. Expand the list below to find our equipment wishlist:

Equipment Wishlist
  • Long Arm Quilting Machine
  • Screen printing equipment and supplies
  • Metal Lab equipment of all varieties
  • Community Kitchen appliances

Donations

If you wish to donate equipment or supplies to the makerspace, we ask that you please get in touch with a board member to see if it’s something we can use, and to arrange a time for pickup or drop off.

Long Term Loans

If you have equipment that is collecting dust, but you’re not ready to completely part with it yet, we offer a long term loan option, in which the equipment remains yours, but can be loaned to the space for use by members. If you’re interested in this option, please talk to a board member, or attend one of our board meetings for more details.
